The EpiCenter is a joint-use facility between St. Petersburg College and Pinellas County where professionals from business, government and academia come together to provide a unique blend of information and services. The EpiCenter was dedicated in November, 2007, to former state senator Don Sullivan for his support of the center and his efforts to allow SPC to offer baccalaureate degrees. Board of Trustees members, Congressman C.W. Bill Young, and SPC President Carl M. Kuttler J. were on hand for the ceremony. BusinessThe EpiCenter hosts SPC's Corporate Training Center, providing innovative business solutions and training to meet the needs of businesses and individuals. The Corporate Training Center offers credit and non-credit classes in professional development, technology, regulated industries, and business solutions. The facility also provides more than 10,000 square feet of innovative Collaborative Labs space where businesses can focus on planning, strategizing, problem-solving, and business development. AcademicsAt the Epi Center, you can take classes leading to a bachelor's degree from SPC's College of Technology and Management. Or, if you're looking for technology training leading to a certificate, ongoing classes are available in a variety of programs, including Microsoft, Cisco, computer support, and computer programming. Individuals can work toward their MBA with the University of South Florida or their Master of Clinical Medical Science - Physican Assistant, with Barry University at the EpiCenter through SPC's University Partnership Center program. GovernmentTraining facilities for WorkNet Pinellas and administrative space for the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Pinellas County Arts Council, and Pinellas County Economic Development also call the EpiCenter home. |
